Abl/Arg signaling

Biochemical Dissection of Abl/Arg Signaling

Our work has demonstrated that Abl and Arg act downstream of growth factor and integrin adhesion receptors to coordinate changes in cytoskeletal and adhesion dynamics. Importantly, we have identified several Abl/Arg substrates and effectors and defined the cellular and biochemical mechanisms they control cell shape and movement.

We are using biochemical and structural methods to understand how Abl and Arg engage with their upstream regulators and downstream substrates. We are employing cell biological and genetic approaches to determine these interactions mediate stimulus-induced changes in cell shape and migration.
